Steven was raised in New York and grew up in a household that valued the ritual of dressing well. His childhood was his first lesson that we are how we present ourselves.

Steven started law school in 2011 while working, and fashion became solace during a difficult four years. He rediscovered vintage movies from the 1960s and 1970s while researching the process of contemporary costume designers like Lindy Hemming to educate himself on the theories behind menswear.

In 2022, Steven became a motorcyclist. It was motorcycling that reminded him of 1980s and 1990s cyberpunk film, sparking JUPITER™ to life.
